Prof. Xingyu Guo is currently a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Data Science at CityUHK, through the GRAP Scheme. She earned a B.Sc. degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Northwestern Polytechnical University in Xi'an, China, and a Ph.D from the University of California, San Diego. Following her Ph.D., she continued her research in the School of Physics at Fudan University as a postdoctoral scholar, before joining CityUHK. Her research interests and expertise are focused on designing new materials for energy storage and conversion using quantum mechanical simulations and artificial intelligence. She has developed novel models and methods that are widely used by the community to advance the development of next-generation battery materials.
