Biography

Dr. Xin Li is a Research Assistant Professor at Department of Biomedical Engineering, City University of Hong Kong. He received his PhD from RWTH Aachen University (Germany) under the supervision of Prof. Andrij Pich (Lichtenberg Professor). Subsequently, he worked as a Research Assistant at DWI-Leibniz-Institute for Interactive Materials (Germany), a Postdoctoral Fellow at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (working with Prof. Ben Zhong Tang, CAS Academician), and a Research Associate at Chinese University of Hong Kong, respectively. His research focuses on developing green chemistry and synthetic biology strategies for large-scale production of smart microgels, investigating the mechanisms of microgel systems in efficient biocatalysis and biomedical applications, advancing clinically translatable nanomedicine for precision disease theranostics.

To date, he has published 80+ research articles/book chapters (Citation: 3000+, H-index: 34), 100+ patents, and 20+ international/national awards.
