Research Interests/Areas
Dr Chan has had a number of years devoted to the study of building energy analysis and conservation opportunities in Hong Kong, as a response to the Hong Kong SAR Government in promoting energy conservation in buildings.
Currently, his research work primarily focuses on the following areas:
(i) Energy-Efficient Building Design.
(ii) Meteorological Data Development for Building Energy Simulation.
(iii) Building Design Optimization Using Data-Driven Approach.
Teaching
In recognition of outstanding teaching performance, Dr Chan was placed among the top 5% of teachers in Semester A, 2023/24 and 2024/25, according to Learning Outcome Questionnaire results.
