Abstract

Polytype modulated nanostructure was formed in ZnS nanowires and obtained via intermittent laser ablation-catalytic growth. Analysis showed that the ZnS nanowire growth is based on the well-known VLS mechanism with gold as the solvent at 800-850°C.
