Abstract

Women leadership in Hong Kong's higher education has met with various bottlenecks even as recruitment of female students has progressed substantially in recent decades. The lack of transparency in official data infrastructure and the lack of progress in specific policy support for enhancing women leadership in universities and society at large, to follow up the earlier pronouncement of an equal opportunity policy are amongst some of the causes of the bottlenecks, and point to the direction of future efforts.
