Abstract
When Beijing asked state-owned enterprises and domestically listed companies in May to increase security checks on their auditors, it was part of a larger, global, power play on control of data. China’s concern over data security, geopolitical tensions, and regulatory changes pose challenges for businesses dealing with competing compliance demands.
