Abstract
Ten AI-synthesised character studies of celebrity influencers, both living and dead, pay homage to Spectre, the true God of surveillance capitalism. Together these “deepfake” videos, selected from the Big Dada series, reveal the depth of algorithmic propaganda in popular culture, and provide new evidence that such manipulations have deep historical roots.
