Abstract

The pulse field ionization (PFI)-photoelectron (PFI-PE) vibrational bands for NDwere recorded using high resolution VUV synchrotron radiation. The breakdown curves of ND2+ and ND3+ measured near the first dissociation threshold helped in the determination of the O K appearance energy (AE) of ND2+. The AE value in turn made possible the determination of D0(D-ND 2+), and the ionization energy (IE) of ND2 through appropriate thermochemical cycles.
