In China, online privacy protection has gradually attracted attention among the public. In order to protect online privacy, specific rules have been enacted in the law and judicial interpretation. Nevertheless, the public may not know how to protect their privacy or be lack of willing to enforce their privacy on Internet. So far, there are only limited cases in which the OSPs were requested to be liable for online privacy infringement committed either by themselves or their users. Besides, the rules about identity disclosure are quite fragmented, in different fields, OSPs tend to follow different rules.
