Abstract
A planar elliptical slot antenna designed for ultra-wideband applications is investigated. With elliptical radiation slots and finite-ground coplanar waveguide feeding structure, the proposed antenna exhibits excellent broadband properties, stable radiation patterns, and compact size. Meanwhile, by introducing a V-shaped slot on the transition region between the feeding line and the slots, a narrow band-rejection operation can be realized. Simulated and measured results are presented and discussed. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
