    Abstract

Using high nonlinear enhancement in a CMOS compatible microring resonator incorporated in a SOA based nonlinear loop-mirror laser architecture, we observe passive modelocking at extremely-low power levels generating 570ps pulses at a 14.8MHz repetition rate. © OSA 2015.
