Abstract

This presentation examines the relative influence of perceived organizational support (corporate training and information communication technology) on the adaptation of 35 Chinese expatriates in their overseas adjustments. The study shows the importance of corporate training to provide adequate preparation for the overseas assignments and the importance of ICT in allowing expatriates to maintain continuing contact with and support from headquarters.
