Abstract

An all fiber, diode-pumped tunable fiber Bragg grating(FBG) ring laser is reported. Gain is provided by an erbium-doped fiber amplifier. The laser wavelength is continuously changed by tuning a FBG which is stuck on the surface of a cantilever beam. The tuning scope is 5.7 nm. Full width at half-maximum(FWHM) is less than 0.1 nm and the output power is 2.5 mW with 27 mW pump power.
