Abstract
The effect of uniform flow on tropical cyclone (TC) intensity change was investigated. The model domain for investigation consisted of 301 × 301 grid points with grid size of 15 km and 24 full sigma levels. It was observed that uniform flow suppressed intensification of TC rather than weakening. The results show that westerly flows were more favorable fro TC intensification than easterly flow.
