Abstract
This paper introduces a novel triple-layer coil design aimed at boosting output power and facilitating power flow management in a free-positioning wireless power transfer (WPT) system housed in a cubic-type transmitter. The proposed triple-layer structure comprises a transmitter coil (Tx), a relay coil (Rx), and a detector coil (Dx). The Rx impedance is tailored to enhance output power capacity, while the Dx winding configuration is optimized for sensing variations in output current. Leveraging information from Dx enables directional power flow control from the transmitter side. © 2024 IEEE.
