Abstract
Mirjana Dokic (City University of Hong Kong) invites to join a journey between different musical traditions and temporalities in globalization. Navigating the routes of music from regional cultural scenes to global distribution, including ethno jazz, ethno deep house and electroacoustic music with traditional music elements, the virtual trip will connect places from Macedonia to Hong Kong to negotiate cultural diversity. During the event, participants could explore respective overlays by humming or by intonating asymmetrical rhythms and melodies with the help of resonating material at hand.
