Abstract
A transaction processing (TP) is a computer system that processes transaction programs and is closcly associated with database systems. This article reviews traditronal transaction concepts and examines aduanced trasaction models. Then, mobile TP is presented. The article concludes with a discussion regarding future research directions. © 2007 by John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
