Abstract

Web services based on the emerging standards such as UDDI and SOAP allow various Web applications running on different operating systems built with different programming languages to be integrated into robust systems for supporting critical business processes. To reach beyond the basic service publication and discovery capabilities and to realise the full benefits of B2B E-commerce, this paper proposes an advanced Web service (i.e., the negotiation service) which is engineered on top of an open and vendor independent E-commerce framework.
