Abstract

We reveal that bound states in the continuum function as robust chain points pinning together nodal lines in scattering matrices. These singularities induce observable phase vortices and persist even when symmetry is broken, providing a new framework for understanding topological protection in open photonic systems. © 2025, META Conference.
