Abstract

Source localization of knee vibroarthrographic (VAG) signals is of significance for the development of a noninvasive tool for diagnosis of pathology in human knee joints. This paper discusses the possible application of correlation techniques to VAG signal source localization. Multi-channel VAG signals were obtained from four subjects with knee joint abnormalities. Preliminary experimental results indicate that correlation analysis could potentially provide a practical method for localizing sources of VAG signals.
