Three-dimensional switch matrix based on polymer optical waveguides

Abstract

A three-dimensional 1×4 switching matrix based on polymer optical waveguides is reported. Its features are: compactness, small switching electric power, and wavelength independent. This structure can be readily generalized to a m×n matrix. © 2006 Optical Society of America.
