Abstract

A simple theory is presented for the analysis of cylindrical-rectangular microstrip patch antennae. The analysis is valid when the substrate thickness is much smaller than wavelength and radius of curvature. Formulae are given for the calculation of resonant frequencies, radiation patterns and input impedances. Experimental results and theoretical results are compared and reasonable agreement is obtained. © 1990 Taylor and Francis Ltd.
