    Abstract

The research mainly focus on multipath propagation phenomenon in mechanical fault system. Mechanical fault source signals are often distorted by multiple paths propagation before arriving at sensor, so that fault feature in acquired vibration signal is destroyed. For preventing the effect, the fault source signal need to be recovered from acquired signal using blind deconvolution method. As a preprocessing technique, blind deconvolution process brings dominant in mechanical system fault diagnosis. Therefore, research on multipath propagation effect and corresponding blind deconvolution methods for mechanical fault signal is very significant. In the research, the multipath propagation phenomenon in mechanical system will be experimentally analyzed and well canceled using modified Bussgang-type method. © 2011 IEEE.
