    Abstract

Peter 1 met Mary through the introduction of a friend when Mary was a tourist in Hong Kong in 2002. When they went for marriage registration in 2003, Peter was amazed to learn from the registration officer that Mary had a record at Immigration. It was only about this time that Peter learned that his wife was one of the former boat people who had been kept in Hong Kong refugee camps for eight years.
