The luminescent properties and photo-decay of sulfosalicylic acid doped ORMOSILs

Research output: Journal Publications and Reviews › RGC 21 - Publication in refereed journal › peer-review

Abstract

The luminescent properties and photo-decay of different organically modified silicate materials (ORMOSILs) doped with sulfosalicylic acid are studied. The effect of different organic modification on the luminescent property of ORMOSILs is also discussed. The results showed that, the organic modification of γ-glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane (GPTMS) based on "in-situ" toughness reinforcing mechanism can efficiently increase the luminescent intensity and delay the photo-decay. © 2000 Elsevier Science B.V.
