Abstract
Singapore is a developed country in Southeast Asia. Its language environment is also very complex. As one of the most representative Creole languages, Singlish has also attracted much attention from linguists. This paper will analyze the relationship between ‘liao’ ‘already’ in Singlish and ‘了’ in Chinese by means of comparison, and explore the influence of history and culture on language structure.
