Abstract

Yan Fu's "Xin, Da, Ya" and Eugene Nida's "dynamic equivalence"are two representative norms in translation circles. They both contribute greatly to China's translation theory. Although the span in time and spaces exists between these two criteria, they share similarities in their basic views. This paper compared these similarities and discussed their application in translationpractice.
