Abstract
To take stock of the past year, Artforum asked an international group of artists to select the single image, exhibition, or event that most memorably captured their eye in 2013. Adel Abdessemed, Marina Abramović, Leonor Antunes, Ida Applebroog, Farah Atassi, Alisa Baremboym, Phyllida Barlow, Philip-Lorca diCorcia, Rineke Dijkstra, Mike Eckhaus & Zoe Latta, Dan Finsel, Urs Fischer, Charles Gaines, Fernanda Gomes, Laurent Grasso, Tamar Guimarães, Hans Haacke, Richard Jackson, Aaron Flint Jamison, Sergej Jensen, Sandy Kim, Yuki Kimura, Lee Kit, Leung Chi Wo, Tao Lin, Zanele Muholi, Sam Pulitzer, Florian Pumhösl, Ugo Rondinone, Betye Saar, Ahlam Shibli, Song Dong, Lucie Stahl, Fredrik Værslev, Stephen Willats, and Yin Xiuzhen share their selections. Leung Chi Wo reviewed the Para Site exhibition "A Journal of the Plague Year: Fear, ghosts, rebels, SARS, Leslie and the Hong Kong story" curated by Cosmin Costinas and Inti Guerrero.
