abstract = "In this paper, aggressive space mapping (ASM), which has been applied in many passive circuits to accelerate the optimization process, is modified to optimize an active circuit. A Ka-band power amplifier is designed to verify its feasibility. Compared with the conventional method, it needs less calculation time and increases the design efficiency, reducing the number of necessary EM simulations from 110 to 7. The simulation result shows high power density and good matching for the optimized circuit. {\textcopyright} 2023 IEEE.",
