Abstract
In this paper, stable model predictive control of a complex fluidized bed combustion plant is considered based on the fuzzy model and piecewise quadratic Lyapunov functions. With the offline-solved terminal cost and constraint set, highly efficient predictive control approach is developed so that the closed-loop system stability is guaranteed as well as satisfactory transient control performance even under input and output constraints. Simulation results on the fluidized bed combustion plant have demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed control approach. © 2007 IEEE.
