Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate temperature-insensitive LP01-LP11 mode converters with CO2-laser written long-period gratings in a two-mode fiber. Our 20-period grating can provide a conversion efficiency >99% over a 21.0-nm bandwidth at the wavelength 1562 nm. © OSA 2014
