N2 - The lithium and europium(III) cryptates of a macrobicyclic ligand 1 incorporating the 3,3′‐biisoquinoline 2,2′‐dioxide 2 have been prepared. The Eu(III) complex [Eu(2)2]Cl3 has also been obtained. These Eu(III) complexes present characteristic 1H‐NMR spectra containing markedly shifted resonances.
