N2 - A gradient Helmholtz Coils model is proposed to achieve hybrid wireless positioning and wireless charging. By switching the driving source between the identical mode and the gradient mode, an alternative uniform and gradient magnetic field can be generated within the effective region. The mathematical model of the proposed coils structure is derived to achieve the optimal coil configuration. Simulation results of the detected field from the 3D probe coil is provided to demonstrate the feasibility of the wireless positioning. This model provides a simple system structure for biomedical devices which require simultaneous wireless positioning and wireless charging. © 2019 IEEE.
