Abstract
The Sustainable Cinema series of sculptures use media-archeology and mid-century industrial design to foreground the magic of creating the moving image but also the energy consumed in our displaysaturated world. Looking backwards to look forward, these faux-historical machines make a direct energy-to-image connection that reminds us that our visual world is unequivocally linked to our natural world.
