Abstract
A single-channel spectrum estimation is transformed to a multichannel problem. If lambda is the pole of the autoregressive model and L is the dimension of the channels, then lambda **L is the resulting pole location obtained from the multichannel approach. The simulations illustrate that the new method is superior to J. P. Burg's method (1975) for lowpass signals with regard to resolution.
