Abstract

Software industry is a large market which generates hundreds of billions of dollars every year. However, success in software development has been a big concern for both academicians and practitioners. In fact, a large proportion of software projects have historically been categorized as either incomplete or challenged, which are over-budget, late, or completed with fewer features and functions than originally envisioned (Ozer & Vogel, 2015). As a result, both academicians and practitioners have been eager to find ways to improve success. In this empirical study, we explore ways to improve success in software development.
