    Abstract

Six typhoon events and one monsoon event observed at the top of Diwang Tower in Shenzhen were analyzed statistically. Consequently, the characteristics and expression of along-wind fluctuating wind speed spectrum in typhoon were summarized. Main parameters of three empirical spectra, i.e., Davenport, Von Karman and Kaimal, were fitted to improve their precision. The analysis results indicate that the speed spectrum of typhoon is different from the monsoon spectrum, which suggest us that it is more reasonable to apply revised wind spectrum in the typhoon influenced site.
