title = "Study of power frequency radiation to axis-symmetric human model implanted with pacemaker",
abstract = "This paper presents a study of the power frequency magnetic field radiations to cardiac pacemakers. An axis-symmetric homogeneous human body with implanted cardiac pacemaker is used. Different arrangements of vertical 3-phase power cables and body orientations are investigated by Finite Element Method (FEM); results have shown that the flat arrangement of the vertical 3-phase power cables could induce a higher voltage in the cardiac pacemaker than that of the Trefoil arrangement. Results have also demonstrated that the highest induced voltage in the pacemaker could be up to 1.57mV for unipolar pacemaker. It is concluded that the implanted cardiac pacemakers could alter the magnetic field distributions in the chest position of the human body. {\textcopyright} 2012 IEEE.",
