    Abstract

This paper addresses stabilization issue of a class of nonlinear systems via fuzzy control approach. A result on exponential stabilization of the so called dynamic fuzzy models with affine terms is presented. Then based on the universal approximation property of the dynamic fuzzy models, semi-global stabilization of the original nonlinear system via fuzzy control is discussed. A simulation example is finally used to illustrate the performance of the proposed controller design approach. ©2005 IEEE.
