Abstract

Darunavir provides robust frameworks for single-crystal to single-crystal transformation (SCSCT). The SCSCT via solvent exchange to get a new single crystal of darunavir dihydrate is accompanied by a rare process of crystal breaking to self-healing. The transformation mechanism is unraveled at the molecular level.
