Abstract

This paper addresses issues of the sound rendering technology, particularly, the three-dimensional acoustic synthesis in real time for reproduction via headphone. The mathematical mechanism of 3D sound rendering is introduced. An interactive, real-time ability to simulate sound information in the virtual environment and its relative moving between sound source and the listener is very important. The offline validation of 3D sound rendering is proceeded before its application in Virtual Cockpit. The real-time pipeline synthesis in the master-slave system is described.
