Abstract
The Schrodinger equation for two-dimensional D- centres is directly solved by expanding the wavefunction in terms of hyperspherical harmonics and generalized Laguerre polynomials. An exponential correlation function is introduced to accelerate the speed of convergence. The inclusion of 144 hyperspherical harmonics and 21 generalized Laguerre polynomials yields the ground-state energy -2.2402399 au, which is converged to an error in the sixth significant figure.
