Abstract
We first report a facile green strategy for in situ synthesis of CuO nanostructures on ZnO nanorods to form new ZnOCuO hetero nanostructures by a novel method and further investigate them as photoanodes in PEC cells for solar hydrogen generation from water splitting. A high photo-T o-hydrogen generation efficiency of 0.86% at the bias potential of 0.94 V is achieved.
