Abstract

This chapter describes the formation of Soap Cycling, a social enterprise based in the University of Hong Kong, its operations, management, and future opportunities and challenges. It demonstrates how social enterprises can engage young people particularly university students to be a part of problem solvers in addressing global hygiene problems. It also shows the promise of running social enterprises as part of the social entrepreneurship education which, despite its advantages, is rarely used as part of the practice-based approach to social entrepreneurship.
