Abstract
An investigation of the L-probe-fed shorted triangular patch antenna was reported. An impedance bandwidth of 61% and a gain of 4.0 dBi was obtained using a foam layer as a supported structure. The impedance bandwidth of the antenna was found to be w der than the rectangular patch, U-slot patch and stacked case types. The far-field patterns were found to be stable across the passband.
