Abstract
A slot-line-excited equilateral-triangular dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) of very high permittivity (εr = 82) is investigated experimentally. The triangular DRA is operated at its fundamental broadsite TM1,0,-1-mode. An improved bandwidth of ∼ 5%, which is 1.7 times higher than in the previous aperture-coupled version, is obtained for the new configuration. The return loss, radiation patterns, and antenna gain of the new configuration are presented.
