Abstract

This paper deals with the problem of sliding mode control for a class of uncertain neutral delay systems. In the systems under consideration, there exist mismatched uncertainties in both state matrices and input matrix. The sliding surface is chosen as the function of current states and delayed states. A sufficient condition is given to guarantee the asymptotic stability of closed-loop systems. Moreover, the proposed sliding mode control law can guarantee that the state trajectories is driven onto the specified sliding surface in finite time and remain there for subsequent time. Finally, an illustrative example is provided.
