Abstract

A study of the vacuum ultraviolet pulsed field ionization-photoelectron (VUV-PFI-PE) spectra of trans and cis-1 bromopropenes in the energy region of 74 720-76 840 cm-1 was presented. The resolved vibrational bands in the PFI-PE spectra were assigned using theoretical vibrational frequencies and FCF simulations. It was found that both PFI-PE vibrational bands for trans-CH3-CHBr+ and CIS-ch3=chbR+ exhibited partially resolved rotational contours. The good fits of the origin PFI-PE vibrational bands for the compounds were obtained using a semiempirical simulation scheme together with theoretical rotational constants.
