Abstract

A nano laboratory for the manipulation, analysis and fabrication of nano devices is presented. Shapes of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are modified in a controlled way through nanorobotic manipulations by combined bending and buckling loads in the assistance of electron-beam-induced deposition (EBID). Nanotube scissors are designed and constructed by applying this technique.
