Abstract
These are quite possibly the first Teletext pages dedicated to the Ryukyu Islands (Okinawa), situated in South-West Japan. After 50 years of Teletext, we aim to put this right! Teletext’s multimodal possibilities are enhanced using SOTA AI tools on scenes from traditional festivals to evoke the sights, the sounds, the taste, the scent, the struggles & the dreams of the Ryukyu from the past, the present & the future.
